Outdoor Education

Let us help you run an educational, fun and most importantly, hassle free school field trip. Themes can include environmental education, outdoor pursuits, cultural/arts topics or a blend of all of these. We work closely with teachers to design the perfect camp for your students and school. Students have the opportunity to experience a variety of activities and meet with many passionate people, all within Raglan. The activities on our programme menu are all within about a 15 minute driving radius from our main camp, Karioi Lodge.

Karioi Lodge features dorm style rooms on a beautiful 110 acre native bush setting. There is a large kitchen for schools to use, or sit back and let us take care of catering for you. We go beyond soggy camp food and offer quality, healthy food options that both students and teachers enjoy. We have an on-site organic garden producing fruit, veggies, honey and eggs that contribute to the items on our catering menu.

Depending on the size of your group we can offer transportation during your Raglan adventure. We have an 18-seater electrically powered bus, as well as two smaller vehicles. If your school has its own busses you are welcome to use those and we can provide other resources to help you on your way.

We aim to provide a unique, hands-on, fun, educational and hassle free experience for both teachers and students. At the end of the school field trip the students will receive our own Raglan EELS squad members certificate.
